Long-distance move from Fenwick Island, DE to Rochester, NH

They were the epitome of professionalism!

I booked them for my daughter’s move into her first apartment. She was dealing with anxiety about managing it on her own. This company’s movers picked up on it immediately and adjusted their pace. One of them walked her through every step – where the boxes would go, what could be unpacked later, how to lock up securely after they left. They even moved a few things twice when she changed her mind about placement. They were the epitome of professionalism!

Long-distance move from Howell, MI to Anderson, SC

Doucette

I can't believe these guys are still in business. Our move took place in December, 2022 and we are still finding problems with our household goods that have not been unpacked. We have paid thousands of dollars to replace or repair some items. Many things went missing or were damaged. Looks like they fell off the truck. Some things were repacked in other boxes, and some even became damaged during delivery in their effort to unload and set up in our new place. They contracted with a "wrecking crew" who were in too much of a hurry. Charges were added to the original quote to cover articles that they claimed we didn't tell them about. We had no choice but to go along with the program. Be aware! Sometimes the cheapest quote turns out to be the most expensive decision.

Official company response

Unfortunately, we feel this customer has submitted this review on the incorrect company, consequently this review has been reported. Please note that Pricing Van Lines was hired by the customer as their booking agent in order to book their move reservation for them with their moving company. We were not the customer's moving company nor who the customer's moving contract was with. Nonetheless, we have been trying to reach the customer both by phone and email numerous times in order to offer them our assistance, but the customer does not respond. We are happy to help them and contact their movers for them to assist them in filing a compensation claim, whenever they are able to get back to us. The customer may reach us at 786-528-6086 or cs@movingservicesteam.com.

Use Them Again!!

This group demonstrated efficiency. They had everything necessary, including belts and dollies. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in shrink wrap, and they had a system in place to monitor all the necessary hardware for reassembly. They ensured the vehicle was thoroughly swept clean, leaving nothing behind, and the unloading process was as organized as the loading.

Long-distance move from Amarillo, TX to Richmond, VA

Deceitful Quotes/Damaged Furniture

Pricing Van Lines contracted Kappa Transportation LLC to complete a move on their behalf. Kappa Transportation LLC arrived on 12/28/20 at 9:00am to pick-up our furniture and to complete the delivery in Richmond, VA. Speaking with our agent Alex Perez prior, he assured me the furniture would be delivered the earliest between 10-14 days so our lease was signed to go into effect January 4th, 2021. After Kappa Transportation LLC loaded up the truck, I asked Travis’ moving partner when approximately our furniture would be delivered in which, he told me “Latest would be Wednesday (12/30/20). We’re going to be pushing it to avoid the storm.” At that point I said, “Our lease was signed for January 4th, 2021 because we were told the delivery would be later” in which the mover responded with “You’ll have to move it up, we don’t do storage. Only drop-offs.” Frantically, I called my leasing agent, Dawn Perez, immediately and asked her to move up our move-in date to 12/30/20 and she graciously complied. Tuesday evening (12/29/20) I texted Travis to ensure the delivery would be made the next day as promised. Travis responded by saying the delivery would not be made until Thursday (12/21/20) due to their current location even though he had full knowledge of the information his partner provided me with. With that, two days of an unoccupied apartments’ rent was being paid. My partner who was supposed to receive the delivery had to change her work schedule completely around once again to accommodate Thursday’s (12/31/20) delivery date. Wednesday evening (12/30/20) Travis texted me saying they were stuck in a storm but still had the same distance away from Richmond, VA as the day prior so their delivery date would now be 1/2/21. At this point an empty apartment was now being paid for in succession of 3 days. Kappa Transportation made the delivery on 1/2/21 along with many damages to our belongings. I tried contacting Alex Perez of Pricing Van Lines to convey the situation at hand but he, to this day, has not responded to any phone calls, voicemails, text messages or emails.

• The driver promised that our furniture would be delivered on Wednesday, December 30, 2021. Needless to say, every day we were promised different dates. Our furniture was finally delivered on Saturday, January 2, 2021 after receiving text messages every day changing the delivery date. When our furniture arrived, (see attached) pictures, our boxes were broken open and full of water. It was obvious that they had been moved off of the truck and sitting somewhere in the rain. Our brand-new sofa had rain stains, pillows dripping wet and several brown stains because it was not properly wrapped and protected. The kitchen chair wood was chipped and dented. They broke our box spring by punching several holes in the fabric, tearing it completely open and exposing the wood. Several valuable items were damaged and are irreplaceable because they are antiques. Several books were water damaged and the ink on the pages are blurred because the boxes were full of water. One of the movers damaged the wall in the apartment when moving the furniture in our brand-new apartment which has not had previous occupants. In total, we had property damage in the amount of $2,019.50. Basically, we paid this company and they negligently contracted with a moving company that destroyed our property beyond repair.

• Kappa Transportation drivers handled our furniture and valuable items carelessly/recklessly and caused a significant amount of damage to our apartment wall, furniture, and several items and completely destroyed other furniture and valuable items. The movers did not properly wrap our property, they destroyed our boxes that had been dutifully packed to prevent the property inside of them from being damaged/destroyed. The way our property arrived was completely unacceptable and as a result of the deceptive practices of Pricing Van Lines, we have suffered property damage and undue stress.

We sent an email and letter to the company’s address as directed and to date there has been no response from anyone at this company. We are demanding a refund in the amount of $673.51 which is what we paid Pricing Van Lines for the deposit. This company breached the contract as stated above and used deceptive/fraudulent sales tactics to secure our business.

Pricing Van Lines is a booking agent who reserves truck space with a carrier for a customer`s shipment. The customer`s goods were transported under the authority of Kappa Transportation, whom the customer`s moving contract was with. That said, we are always here to assist customers and mediate whenever necessary. We are very sorry to hear that the customer experienced a delivery issue and damage with Kappa. We have provided the customer with the information they need to file their claim under our own, courtesy account that we have set aside with the Claims company, as a courtesy and show of good faith to the customer, rather than through their carrier`s Claims account as is normally processed. This way, Pricing Van Lines can make sure that the customer is properly compensated.

Long-distance move from Lewisville, TX to Chicago, IL

Moving Nightmare - Consumer Beware

I contracted with Pricing Van Lines to move me from TX to IL. The movers they contracted with were less than desirable movers. They showed up late, after they finally arrived; the workers reeked of marijuana, and one of the workers decided he was not going to work because

he was having a bad day. I had to wait 2 hours, before he decided that he wanted to work again. They caused over 3K dollars in damages; and offered me 77.00 dollars as an equitable recovery. Further, the owner of the moving company held my things hostage unless I paid him an additional 800.00 dollars; he stated that he had to pay someone outside of his company to move my things from one truck to another truck. I asked for the paid invoice, and of course I never received it. Please consumer beware of Pricing Van Lines. They contract with unscrupulous people and will not answer your calls or respond to you, once thy have your money.

Pricing Van Lines is very sorry to hear that the customer was not satisfied with their services. Pricing Van Lines was the customer's booking agent. Our Customer Service Department has tried to reach the customer since 8/22/23 in order to offer our assistance and resolution, however to date, the customer has not responded. We are happy to assist the customer and further investigate their complaint, unfortunately the customer is who we feel is unresponsive.

Long-distance move from Basalt, CO to Memphis, TN

Would not recommend

I would not recommend this company.

Used them for out-of-state move. They're a broker.

A long process of repeated over-promising and under-delivering.

$3900 quote for a $4400 move that was so poorly executed that the losses and damages amount to about $8000. They matched me with Atlantic Group out of FL (do anything you can to stay away from them too).

Was promised 3 movers and a 3-5 day turnaround. Got 2 movers on arrival (24 hour delay) and one mover on delivery (hours later two local guys arrived to help unload). My stuff arrived a month later (21 business days later) with two stolen bikes and most of my furniture damaged and the majority of my boxed items damaged as well.

Was offered nothing except a shrug and an opportunity to file a claim through their insurance company (Atlantic wasn't answering or returning calls)

Made a stressful situation even worse and I do not recommend at all.

Official company response

Pricing Van Lines was the customer's booking agent. Unfortunately, we do not understand this review. We were not the customer's moving company nor do we have trucks. Upon the customer advising us that their carrier was not going to make it for their pickup, we immediately assigned another carrier for the customer's move and transferred the customer's deposit to the new carrier, so that they could service the customer's move, which we are happy to advise they did with no issues. We unfortunately do not understand what refund the customer is referring to, as their deposit was transferred to the customer's new moving company, and the customer's moving company deducted this from the customer's balance with them. The customer's deposit was already applied to their move with their new carrier. A refund would only be due if the customer would have cancelled. For this reason we are confused by this review. For better clarification, the customer may contact our Customer Service Department at 786-528-6086 or at cs@movingservicesteam.com, and we are happy to further assist.

Long-distance move from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Atlanta, GA

Moving to Georgia

Recently moved from Fort lauderdale to Atlanta. Got 5 quotes but pricing van lines was 1500 cheaper. Mitch was very assuring on the phone and I went with them despite my fears of using a broker. Once mitch got my initial deposit he never answered the phone again.Had to pay an additional 300 dollars to get a specific day pickup. I was given a delivery window of four to seven days but after the driver loaded my furniture that changed to 7 to 12 days.

The drivers spoke very little English and once they loaded my furniture the price changed by 2000 dollars and they refused to take my furniture off the truck. I was assigned Ez Moving out of miami. These are the most unscrupulous people that I have ever dealt with. Tania the dispatcher will tell you anything but once they get your furniture on the truck you will be over charged. I would not recommend pricing van lines or ez Moving. Stay away from mitch. He is very assuring on the phone but once he gets your money he is done. No one will answer your complaint. You are basically screwed.

Local move from Tampa, FL to Titusville, FL

Do not use this company

After paying $3500 for the move and their white glove packing service, they tacked on another $650 overnight charge because they picked up another load and ran out of time to get to my storage unit 2 hours away. I was not informed of the second pickup and originally told my drop off would be midafternoon. Later that day i was informed that their arrival would be at 6pm, which was about 30 minites after the call. I specifically expressed the unavailability of an after 5 delivery because my connection at the drop off point would be unavailable. After numerous calls back and forth with a very rude woman yelling at me, I was then told there would be a $650 overnight charge for lodging. The delivery point was Titusville Florida, the hotel bill was $185 for the night.

I have finally been able to start looking at my furniture and belongings and i have already found significant damage to 5 pieces of furniture, and I'm no where near with this task. I found a lamp 1 one box, the shade in another box and the harp, to attach shade to lamp is missing and i am additionally finding broken glass to several decorative figurines. I dont care what Angi claims as their ratings, they not only ripped me off price wise, they've done damage to a number of old family heirlooms as well as other personal possessions.

If you value your possessions, don't leave them in the care of this company.

Long-distance move from Earle, AR to Vadito, NM

Bravo to them!

We hired the movers to transport just one oversized item. It wasn’t a big job, but they handled it like it was a museum piece. They created a strong barrier inside the truck to keep it stable, used padding on all sides, and even checked it to see if it was holding up well before departing. Thanks to it, we received it in one piece. Bravo to them!
